COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

KETTERING STREET ART CIC

Company Number: 16117594 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

Kettering Street Art CIC provides benefit to the local community of Kettering and surrounding areas by providing public art for the wellbeing of all. In the year December 2024 – December 2025 we have: Produced 7 pieces of public art Held three creative workshops in a SEND school Engaged 10 artists in paid creative work Held a live painting event as part of a large community festival (‘Kettfest’ in Kettering town centre with over 30,000 visitors) Secured funding for a large creative climate project with two other local social enterprises Secured funding to bring 10 pieces of public art to every town in the county (working with North Northamptonshire Council on their ‘Hi Street’ project)

Consultation with stakeholders

For every piece of public art we have facilitated, we talk to residents and passersby, asking what they would like to see in the artwork. The response to this has been overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. Whilst carrying out the artwork, our artists are often greeted by many warm interactions, such as people asking about the project and inquiring about the artists’ other work. Once completed, we always post the work on our social media channels and other local groups (eg via Facebook) We receive many comments from members of the local public, saying how much they enjoy the work, how much it brightens and improves the area and how they’d like to see more pieces of art. The artists involved in our project have expressed how positive being involved has been for them both professionally and socially. They’ve been encouraged by members of the public, widened their professional peer network and had offers of additional work from the association with our project. Our workshops in the SEND school were very well received by both students and staff. New techniques were practised and insights into the career path of professional artists were shared.

Directors' remuneration

As detailed in the accounts, the Director S Leach received a stipend of £620 to reflect work carried out on Kettering Street Art’s activities as outlined above.
