COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

LOVEJAM COMMUNITY CIC

Company Number: 16120014 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Lovejam Community CIC continued to deliver its core mission of providing accessible, substance-free spaces for community connection through music and collective creativity. The organisation coordinated a national network of jam nights across approximately ten UK cities, run by local volunteer hubs including Bristol and Leeds. These events provided a genuine alternative to alcohol- and substance-centered social spaces, offering people of all backgrounds and musical abilities a way to connect through live, spontaneous music-making in a sober, values-aligned environment. By keeping events vegan and earth-centered in ethos, the network also promoted sustainable and compassionate lifestyle choices among participants. The CIC's national coordination role supported local organisers with structure, shared resources, and a consistent community-interest framework, helping new hubs establish themselves while maintaining the network's core values. Membership dues from participating hubs sustained this coordination function, keeping the network self-sustaining and community-led rather than reliant on external funding.

Consultation with stakeholders

In June of the financial year, Lovejam Community CIC held a stakeholder gathering bringing together 14 representatives from local jam night hubs across the network. The gathering provided an opportunity for local organisers and coordinators to discuss the future direction of the CIC, share experiences from running events in their respective cities, and contribute to shaping the organisation's ongoing strategy and priorities. This consultation reflects the CIC's commitment to remaining a genuinely community-led and network-driven organisation, with decisions on direction shaped collaboratively by those actively delivering the mission on the ground, rather than being set centrally.
