Consultancy income is recognised over the period in which the services are delivered, based on the stage of completion of the engagement. Introducer fees are recognised at the point at which the referral is successfully completed and the company’s performance obligations have been satisfied.
Turnover is stated net of discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
Intangible assets
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.

Basic financial liabilities, including trade and other creditors and loans, are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
| Where financial assets or liabilities contain a financing element and settlement is deferred beyond normal commercial terms, the instrument is initially recognised at the present value of future cash flows and subsequently measured at amortised cost.
