Happilife CIC has supported the wellbeing of residents across the London Borough of Havering through inclusive, community based activities. Over the year we delivered Soup and Social gatherings, wellbeing coaching, and Lunch and Learn sessions for adults with learning disabilities. These activities created safe, welcoming spaces where people could connect, share experiences, and access practical wellbeing support. Through 26 Soup and Social events, 5 wellbeing sessions, and 5 Lunch and Learn workshops, we directly supported 406 individuals. Our volunteers contributed 105 hours, helping us reach people who may otherwise experience isolation or limited access to community activities. By working with 24 local venues and partners, we strengthened community networks and increased opportunities for residents to engage in positive, supportive activities. Overall, our work has improved social connection, reduced loneliness, and promoted healthier routines and wellbeing across the community.
We gathered feedback from local residents, volunteers and community partners throughout the year. Our Soup and Social events provided regular opportunities to speak directly with attendees about what support they value and what activities they would like to see in the community. We also consulted with voluntary organisations and venue partners to understand local needs and identify gaps in wellbeing and social support. This feedback helped shape our programme design and informed the development of future services. The insight gained supported our planning and strengthened our approach to delivering community based activities.
During the financial year the directors received payment only for direct service delivery work carried out for Happilife CIC. This included delivering community sessions, wellbeing activities and coaching. No payments were made for governance duties or for acting as directors. All remuneration supported the delivery of community services and was in line with the objectives of the CIC.
