COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ALDEIA CABOCLO DO SOL NAS AGUAS DE OXUM CIC

Company Number: 16188072 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

Our activities commenced in February 2025, with the initial resources being provided by two volunteer members of the organisation. These personal contributions were used to secure the deposit required for the rental of our community space. March 2025 In March 2025, two additional volunteers joined the organisation, contributing both their time and personal financial resources to support the development of our activities. April 2025 In April 2025, we made the payment required to secure the first monthly rental of the premises, under a 12-month tenancy agreement. June 2025 – January 2026 During this period, rent was paid in advance in accordance with the tenancy agreement. In addition, the organisation incurred various operational expenses necessary to provide services and activities for members of the community. Our work consists of organising fortnightly gatherings for volunteers and members of the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking communities in London. The purpose of these gatherings is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where members of the community can seek emotional balance and receive personal, professional and emotional support. In addition, we also provide cultural events. A particular focus of our work is supporting Brazilian immigrants living in London who may be geographically distant from their families, their social networks and aspects of Brazilian culture that are important to their sense of belonging and wellbeing. Our activities are facilitated by volunteers and are intended to create a safe and supportive community environment where people can meet, share experiences and feel connected. Since the commencement of our regular activities in May 2025, following the signing of our tenancy agreement, we have welcomed 88 individuals to our fortnightly gatherings up to January 2026. Members of the community find and contact us primarily through Google, Instagram and WhatsApp. During this period, our Google Business Profile received approximately 1,557 views, demonstrating a continued level of interest in our activities and services within the local community.
