During the financial year, the Company provided holiday camps for children and young people across the Greater Manchester area, offering a safe, structured and supervised environment during school holidays and school term. The holiday camps included a range of sporting and recreational activities, including football-based activities designed to encourage children to become physically active, build their confidence, and learn important skills such as teamwork, discipline, communication, and cooperation. The football activities also introduced children to the basic skills and principles of the game and prepared them for potential participation in entry-level grassroots football. The camps provided a positive alternative to children spending extended periods unsupervised on the streets during school holidays. By keeping children engaged in organised and constructive activities, the Company helped provide opportunities for positive social interaction, physical exercise and personal development, while reducing exposure to negative influences and anti-social behaviour. The programme also provided support to parents and guardians by giving them access to safe and meaningful activities for their children during school holiday periods. Overall, the Company’s activities have contributed positively to the wellbeing, development and safety of children and young people within the Greater Manchester community, while encouraging participation in sport and providing a positive pathway towards involvement in grassroots football.
