Company activities and impact

During the financial year, we delivered a pilot creative media programme for Coventry College creative media students and NEET young people in the community. The programme provided weekly structured support across a wide range of creative projects, including short films, sports journalism, identity focused podcasts, anti bullying podcasts, technology blogs, environmental blogs and photography. Some students also developed personal projects exploring their health, wellbeing and lived experiences as teenagers. Students received ongoing guidance throughout their project development, helping them build confidence, improve technical and creative skills, and engage positively with peers and mentors. Several participants had opportunities to showcase their work publicly. Environmental photography created by students on Studio 74s creative media programme was displayed at the Act Now Change Forever lobby in London in 2025, attended by delegates from across the UK. The same photography was later included in a national collage projected onto the White Cliffs of Dover. Studio 74 Director Shantyl Rogers also spoke at the event alongside Disability Rights UK representative Dan White. All 31 participants completed feedback forms. Every student reported improvements in skills, personal development, confidence and peer interaction. Parents of NEET participants and Coventry College staff also provided positive feedback, noting significant growth in confidence, engagement and overall wellbeing. As a result of the programmes impact, Coventry College invited Studio 74 to return in 2026. To ensure continued access and wider community benefit, we published the full programme on our website, including student projects, community stories and creative outputs. We also launched an online radio station to support youth voice, creative expression and community engagement. This has enabled ongoing participation beyond the initial programme and provided a platform for students and community members to share their work with a wider audience. We also hosted a presentation evening for participants, volunteers, families and friends at the Sphinx Social and Football Club on 25 October 2025. The event was facilitated by local sports journalist and BBC CWR presenter Trish Adudu, who presented certificates to students and NEET participants. Students delivered speeches throughout the evening, supported by comedy duo Luke Smith and Sam Smith from the student film screenwriting team. The London Keynotes Choir performed alongside our Remember Respect Reflect short film honouring community members who had passed away. Local young DJ Marlie Blackstock provided a five hour DJ set, and Caribbean food prepared by Jack and Magdalene was enjoyed by attendees. In November 2025, students also attended Netball Aid as a cohort of under 18s accompanied by adults, supported by Seat Saints and arranged by Trish Adudu.
