In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. In this financial year, Social By Design CIC operated primarily as a social impact consultancy, supporting organizations that work with refugees, and marginalized communities. We specialize in the design and delivery of training programmes, including digital literacy, online safety, storytelling, and community engagement. Our work is shaped by lived experience and a commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful impact. One of our key achievements this year was expanding our work beyond direct community delivery to include consultancy and capacity-building support for organisations. Through our consultancy services, we developed a Digital Security Toolkit in both English and Arabic, providing practical guidance to help individuals stay safe online, identify scams, protect their personal information, and confidently navigate digital spaces. We also designed and delivered tailored digital security training for clients, equipping staff and community members with the knowledge and tools needed to respond to increasing online risks and misinformation. Alongside our consultancy work, we continued to deliver community-focused initiatives through grants and partnerships across Greater Manchester. These activities focused on reducing social isolation, strengthening community connections, supporting mental wellbeing, and increasing awareness of online safety and scam prevention. By creating safe and welcoming spaces for people to connect, learn, and share experiences, we helped participants access trusted information, build confidence, and develop stronger support networks.
Our stakeholders include: - Refugees, and marginalized individuals who participate in our training - Local community organizations and refugee support services - Workshop partners and venues - Funders and grant-giving bodies - Peer trainers and volunteers - Local authorities and integration services
