Empower Bottoms CIC was incorporated on 11th December 2024. The period covered by this report, 11th December 2024 to 31st December 2025, was the company's first financial year and was a set-up and development period. The company did not begin trading during the year and received no trading income. The company was formed to improve sexual health and wellbeing outcomes through three strands: a free educational resource, a community platform, and a marketplace. Its intended beneficiaries are the LGBTQIA+ community and, more widely, anyone seeking accurate and non-judgemental information on sexual health, preparation and aftercare. Activities during the year were directed at establishing the company and preparing for delivery to the community: - Incorporating the company as a community interest company limited by guarantee, subject to the asset lock, on 11th December 2024. - Registering the company's domain name and beginning development of the website through which the free educational resource will be published. - Researching and planning the content of the educational resource, covering safe sex, preparation for sex and aftercare. - Holding conversations with prospective users, with potential strategic partners, and with educators working in this field, to test the company's approach and inform the design of the resource. - Securing grant funding of £900 from Hatch, received on 19th December 2025, towards development of the platform. As the company remained in its set-up phase throughout the year, no services were yet delivered and no community benefit can yet be quantified. The company's set-up costs were met by its sole director personally.
The company's stakeholders are: - Its intended beneficiaries: members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and others who would use the educational resource, community platform and marketplace. - Educators and practitioners working in sexual health and wellbeing, as sources of expertise. - Potential strategic partners, including organisations working in this field. - Hatch, which awarded grant funding and provided business support to the company. - The company's sole director. As the company had not yet begun delivery during the year, consultation was informal. The director held conversations with prospective users of the resource and platform, with potential strategic partners, and with educators working in sexual health and wellbeing. No formal consultation exercise was carried out during the period. These conversations fed directly into the development of the company's concept and of its plans for delivery: they informed how the three strands were shaped and how the company expects to reach and serve its community. No single decision was reversed or altered as a result of any one conversation, as the company was still forming its approach throughout the period rather than operating an established service.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
