During the company's first financial year, Smith-Alexander Foundation CIC was in the early stages of development and establishment. The directors focused on putting the foundations in place for the company's future educational and community-focused work. This included developing the company's website and social media presence to raise awareness of its aims and future activities, alongside establishing the necessary administrative infrastructure, including company banking and internal processes. The directors also spent time developing the company's educational and community objectives and planning how future activities would support children, young people, families and communities. The company received £1,100 in donations during the financial year to support its development and future community activities. As this was the company's first financial year, direct community-facing activity was limited while these foundations were being established. Funds remaining at the end of the year have been retained within the company to support the development and delivery of its community objectives in future periods.
