| Matisa(U.K.)Limited is a |
| The financial statements are presented in sterling which is the functional currency of the company and rounded to the nearest pound. |
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Significant judgements and estimates |
| No judgements have been made in the process of applying the below accounting policies that have had the most significant effect on amounts recognised in the financial statements. |
| There are no key assumptions concerning the future and other key sources of estimation uncertainty at the reporting date that have a significant risk of causing material adjustment to the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities within the next financial year. |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable net of VAT and trade discounts. |
| Turnover from the sale of maintenance services for machines and related parts is recognised when significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer, the amount of turnover can be measured reliably, it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the company and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. |
| Contract revenue recognition |
| In respect of long term contracts, revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have passed to the buyer (usually on dispatch of the goods), the amount of revenue can be measured reliably, it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the entity and the costs incurred in respect of the transaction can be measured reliably. |
| In respect of long term contracts where a contract has been entered into for the manufacture of a single asset, the "percentage of completion method" is used to determine the appropriate amount to recognise in a given period. The stage of completion is measured by the proportion of contract costs incurred for work performed to date compared to the estimated total contract costs. Costs incurred in the year in connection with future activity on a contract are excluded from contract costs in determining the stage of completion. These costs are presented as stocks, prepayments or other assets depending on their nature, and provided it is probable they will be recovered. |

| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
| Revenue from contracts for the provision of professional services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion when the stage of completion, costs incurred and costs to complete can be estimated reliably. The stage of completion is calculated by comparing the costs incurred, mainly in relation to contractual hourly staff rates and materials, as a proportion of total costs. Where the outcome cannot be estimated reliably, revenue is recognised only to the extent of the expenses recognised that is probable will be recovered. |

| Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset on a systematic basis over its expected useful life as follows: |
| Leasehold Property | Period of the lease |
| Plant & Machinery | 15% reducing balance |
| Motor Vehicles | 20% straight line |
| Computer Equipment | 33% straight line |
| Stocks and work in progress |
| Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to completion, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving stock. |
| Cost is calculated using the weighted average method and includes all purchase, transport and handling costs in bringing stocks to their present location and condition. |
| Work-in-progress is reflected in the accounts on a contract by contract basis by recording turnover and related costs as contract activity progresses. |
