FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2026
Trustee report for year ended 31st March 2026
The trustees, for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2026. The trustees have adopted the provisions of the Charities (SORP) FRS102 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities' (effective 1st January 2015).
Principal Activity
The Company was incorporated to provide relief to sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) from a permanent base in Milton Keynes known as MK Therapy Centre. At the Therapy Centre other conditions are treated, such as Fibromyalgia, Parkinson's, Arthritis, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism and Sports Injury. Funds for the upkeep of the centre are generated by payment for treatment, fund raising, sponsorship, donations, subscription and grants.
Review of activities
Over the course of this financial year active membership has grown steadily. As of 31/03/2026 there are 55 active members mainly having Hyper-baric Oxygenation Therapy and also Remedial Massage. Therapies provided also include Reiki and Reflexology. In October 2025 we held our AGM and all agreed we needed to raise our prices for all therapies including HBOT. In January 2026 we implemented the price increases for all therapies. The annual subscription stayed the same at £30. It was greeted favourably by members and numbers did not fall significantly. It did, however, show improvement in our finances.
On Friday 16th May 2025 we held our 32nd Open Day celebrating our birthday, trading since 14th May 1993. It was well attended including local MPs, MK Mayor, Wolverton Mayor and Stacey Bushes. Also MS Healthcare Professionals attended. In July we held our Summer Raffle which made a total of £450. At Christmas we held our annual Mince Pie morning with a Christmas Raffle which made £286. In December we held our annual Christmas Lunch at Abbey Hill Golf Club which was well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks to Laura Jeffs for organising.
Operating Income
Operating income for this accounting period (which includes payments and subscriptions) was £50,578, Donations/fundraising was £3,905. Total Income was £55,848. HBO costs totalled £12,150, Wages were £20,403. Total Expenditure was £56,127. Making a surplus of £1,833.
The Trustees would like to thank the Centre Manager Sharn Nandhra, for her hard work and skill in running the Therapy Centre professionally and smoothly during this financial year. The Trustees would also like to thank the Committee, all the volunteer Operators and Therapists for their work, dedication, support and help in continuing to keep the MK Therapy Centre open and operating safely. Our thanks also go to our Patron, Dr Vasco Fernandes and the Management team, for their continued dedication and support.
