Accounting policies |
Statement of Compliance
These financial statements were prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland'.
Basis of preparation
These financial statements are prepared on the going concern basis, under the historical cost convention, and in accordance with the Companies Act 2006 and applicable accounting standards in the United Kingdom.
Trading Status
The Company has not traded during the year or the previous year, has incurred no liabilities and consequently, has made neither profit nor loss. None of the Directors received any emoluments in respect of their services to the Company.
Going concern
The Company is dormant and has not traded during the year. The Company's intermediate parent undertaking has confirmed its intention to continue to provide ongoing financial support to enable the Company to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of at least one year from the date of signing these financial statements. On this basis, the Directors have deemed it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
Fixed asset investments
Fixed asset investments are stated at historical cost less provision for any diminution in value.

The Company has authorised, issued and fully paid preference share capital of £400,000,000. The preference shareholders are not entitled to receive dividends. On winding up or redemption, the preference shareholders rank above all ordinary shareholders and are entitled to receive £2.105 per share unless either the shareholder or Company makes an Adjustment Request. In this case a payment per share of the net assets of the Company divided by 400,000,000 will be made. The shares are redeemable at the option of the holder and do not carry any voting rights.
