TRAVEL ASSETS GROUP LIMITED

Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 31 December 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is recognised at the fair value of consideration received or receivable for services in the ordinary course of business. Turnover is shown net of Value Added Tax.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently at cost net of depreciation. Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Computer equipment - straight line over 3 years

    Other accounting policies

Preparation of consolidated financial statements The financial statements contain information about Travel Assets Group Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The Company has taken the option under Section 398 of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare consolidated financial statements on the basis that the group is small. Going concern The Company made a net loss in the year totaling £28,514 and has net current assets of £429,443. The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The directors have assessed the company’s ability to continue as a going concern and have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. In making this assessment, the directors have considered the company’s current financial position, expected future cash flows, and available sources of finance. No material uncertainties have been identified that cast significant doubt on the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Taxation The tax expense represents the sum of the current tax expense and deferred tax expense. Current tax assets are recognised when tax paid exceeds the tax payable. Current tax is based on taxable profit for the year. Taxable profit differs from total comprehensive income because it excludes items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other periods. Current tax assets and liabilities are measured using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date. Deferred tax is calculated at the tax rates that are expected to apply to the period when the asset is realised or the liability is settled based on tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date. Deferred tax is not discounted. Deferred tax liabilities are recognised in respect of all timing differences that exist at the reporting date. Timing differences are differences between taxable profits and total comprehensive income that arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in different periods from their recognition in the financial statements. Deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered by the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. Current tax assets and current tax liabilities and deferred tax assets and deferred tax liabilities are offset, if and only if, there is a legally enforceable right to set off the amounts and the entity intends either to settle on a net basis or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously. Foreign currencies Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the statement of financial position date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken to profit or loss. Fixed asset investments Investments held as fixed assets are stated at cost less provision for impairment. Financial instruments The Company has elected to apply the provisions of Section 11 “Basic Financial Instruments” and Section 12 “Other Financial Instruments Issues” of FRS 102, in full, to all of its financial instruments. Financial assets and financial liabilities are recognised when the Company becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument and are offset only when the Company currently has a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and intends either to settle on a net basis, or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously. Financial assets Trade and other debtors Trade and other debtors (including accrued income) which are receivable within one year and which do not constitute a financing transaction are initially measured at the transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost, being the transaction price less any amounts settled and any impairment losses. Financial liabilities and equity Financial instruments are classified as liabilities and equity instruments according to the substance of the contractual arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the Company after deducting all of its liabilities. Equity instruments Financial instruments classified as equity instruments are recorded at the fair value of the cash or other resources received or receivable, net of direct costs of issuing the equity instruments. Trade and other creditors Trade and other creditors (including accruals) payable within one year that do not constitute a financing transaction are initially measured at the transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost, being transaction price less any amounts settled. Critical accounting estimates and areas of judgement Estimates and judgements are continually evaluated and are based on historical experience and other factors, including expectations of future events that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances. The Company makes estimates and assumptions concerning the future. The resulting accounting estimates and assumptions will, by definition, seldom equal the related actual results. The estimates and assumptions that have a significant risk of causing a material adjustment to the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities within the next financial year are discussed below. Carrying value of investments The company considers whether investments are impaired. Where an indication of impairment is identified an estimation of the recoverable amount of the asset is required. This includes consideration of the future cash flow expected to be derived from the asset.
