Company activities and impact

PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During the year ended 31 December 2025, Impact Women Network CIC delivered community-based activities to empower women, strengthen confidence and employability, improve wellbeing, celebrate cultural identity, and create opportunities for connection, learning, and participation. The CIC’s work particularly supported women from immigrant and ethnically diverse communities, while also engaging families, professionals, volunteers and the wider community. Key activities during the year included: - Dress It Up Fashion Runway – a creative and inclusive fashion initiative that provided women with a platform for self-expression, confidence building, cultural celebration and community participation. The activity promoted creativity, visibility and social connection and created opportunities for women to showcase style, heritage and talent in a supportive environment. - Annual Women Conference and Workshop – “Breaking Barriers and Building Legacies” – a women-focused conference and workshop centred on empowerment, personal development, leadership, confidence, resilience and creating positive long-term outcomes for women and their families. The programme encouraged participants to identify and overcome barriers, share experiences, build networks and take practical steps towards personal and professional goals. - Jobs and Careers in NHS Webinar – an accessible careers and employability session that provided practical information on NHS job opportunities, career pathways and application readiness. The webinar supported participants to better understand routes into employment, improve confidence in navigating NHS recruitment and make informed career decisions. - Start Your 2026 with Confidence – IWNCIC 1 Year Anniversary & Award Night – a community celebration and confidence-building event marking the CIC’s first year. It recognised contributions by women, volunteers and community supporters, encouraged participants to reflect on progress and set positive goals for 2026, and strengthened relationships across the organisation’s growing support network. - Black History in Motion – a cultural and educational activity celebrating Black history, heritage and lived experience through community participation and creative expression. The programme promoted cultural awareness, inclusion, intergenerational learning, pride and a stronger sense of belonging. Across these activities, the CIC created safe and welcoming spaces where women could access information, encouragement, peer support and opportunities to develop skills and networks. The programmes helped reduce social isolation, build confidence and aspiration, improve access to employment and development opportunities, celebrate diversity and strengthen community cohesion. Activities were delivered with an emphasis on inclusion, lived experience, practical support and women supporting women.

Consultation with stakeholders

The CIC’s stakeholders during the year included women and families who participated in programmes, community members, volunteers, directors, workshop facilitators, speakers, event contributors, partner organisations and supporters. Particular attention was given to the views and experiences of women from immigrant and ethnically diverse communities who are central to the CIC’s community purpose. Stakeholders were consulted through direct conversations before and after activities, informal and structured participant feedback, discussions with volunteers and facilitators, engagement through community and social-media channels, and ongoing contact with women who used the CIC’s programmes. Feedback focused on the usefulness and accessibility of activities, subjects participants wanted addressed, barriers to employment and confidence, wellbeing and social-connection needs, and the types of practical support women wanted from the organisation. The CIC used this feedback to shape and improve its delivery. This included increasing practical career and employability content; creating more confidence, leadership and personal-development opportunities; using culturally relevant and inclusive approaches; providing events that combine learning with peer connection and celebration; and recognising the importance of accessible community-based and online activities. Stakeholder feedback also reinforced the CIC’s focus on creating safe spaces where women can build networks, share lived experiences and access practical support without stigma.
