Enable-Ed CIC provides consultancy, project management, and capacity-building support to organisations working in education and social inclusion, both in the United Kingdom and internationally. The company operates on a combination of paid consultancy and voluntary contributions, enabling it to maximise its social impact and support charitable and educational initiatives. During the financial year, Enable-Ed delivered a range of activities that contributed to improving educational opportunities and outcomes for children and young people, particularly in disadvantaged communities. Key activities included: Providing consultancy and school improvement support to secondary schools in The Gambia, helping to strengthen teaching, leadership, and educational outcomes. Delivering voluntary project management support for Exeter Ethiopia Link, contributing to: Literacy tutorial programmes for more than 150 girls, designed to improve literacy attainment and educational participation. The development and support of primary school library provision benefiting approximately 15,000 children across Western Ethiopia. Continuing to support RedEarth Education in Uganda through consultancy and advisory services. RedEarth Education works to improve the quality of education in approximately 100 schools, benefiting around 50,000 pupils in Central Uganda. Reinvesting company income to further its social purpose. During the year, Enable-Ed provided: £2,754 to support a volunteer recruited by the company who was assisting education projects in Western Ethiopia. £5,000 to Enable-Ed Charitable Foundation CIO, the company's charitable partner organisation, to support future international education and development projects. In addition, Enable-Ed delivered a number of short-term consultancy, training, and capacity-building assignments for schools and organisations across the West Midlands. These activities supported improvements in educational practice and are estimated to have positively impacted the educational experiences of approximately 2,500 children and young people. Through these activities, Enable-Ed has continued to use its expertise, resources, and income to support educational improvement, literacy development, and social inclusion both locally and internationally, ensuring that the company's work delivers a clear and measurable benefit to communities.
Enable-Ed's primary stakeholders are the organisations and charities it supports through consultancy, project management, and capacity-building services. Secondary stakeholders include the children, young people, educators, and communities who benefit from the projects and programmes delivered by these organisations. Enable-Ed actively seeks feedback from client organisations following the completion of consultancy assignments and project support activities. This feedback is gathered through discussions, reviews, and evaluation processes and is used to assess the effectiveness and impact of the support provided. In addition, Enable-Ed works closely with partner organisations to encourage the collection of feedback from the ultimate beneficiaries of projects, including pupils, teachers, community members, and volunteers. This beneficiary feedback provides valuable insight into the effectiveness of projects and identifies opportunities for improvement. Feedback received during the year has informed both the development of projects supported by Enable-Ed and the company's own working practices. As a result, adjustments have been made to project design, implementation approaches, and capacity-building activities to ensure that support remains responsive to stakeholder needs and maximises community benefit. Enable-Ed remains committed to ongoing engagement with its stakeholders and values consultation as an important mechanism for improving the quality, effectiveness, and impact of its work.
