COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

GROW SEFTON CIC

Company Number: 12747586 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 July 2026

Company activities and impact

The company manages a parcel of woodland in Netherton, Sefton, for the benefit of the local community and the natural world. The company holds regular volunteering sessions to allow community members to enjoy the nature on site. Biodiversity on the land is booming; nature on site becomes more diverse and complex year on year. We have also been expanding the horticultural offer on the land, so that the growing number of volunteers can take part in growing fruit and veg. In addition, we keep the public footpath running along the site boundary clear of vegetation and rubbish, which is otherwise a constant issue.

Consultation with stakeholders

The principal stakeholders are members of the local community. Most consultation is done face-to-face with people who come to visit the site to engage with the natural world. However, we also communicate online via a Facebook page. As the number of volunteers grows, the main aim has been to increase the horticultural offer, which is something that we have concentrated on this year.
