Additional information
Statement of Directors' Responsibilities The directors are responsible for preparing the Directors' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). Under company law the directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the surplus or deficit of the company for that period. In preparing the financial statements the directors are required to: select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent; prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. The directors are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial information included on the company's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions. Small Company Rules This report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions relating to companies subject to the small companies regime within Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.

During the financial year, Just For The Arts Music Group CIC delivered music and creative arts projects for young people aged 12 to 18. Activities included workshops, youth mentoring, youth-led studio sessions, artist development, a youth-led podcast and showcase events providing a platform for local talent. Many of these activities took place at E11 Studios in Leytonstone, East London. Participation ranged from 10 to 20 young people across the activities. The projects enabled participants to explore new talents and develop practical skills in music production, song writing, recording and performance. Young people already making music or other creative work were supported to build on their existing abilities through guided sessions and ongoing artist development. Consistent mentoring introduced participants to the music industry and the world of work. This support helped young people understand creative roles and the skills involved, while giving them opportunities to apply their learning through recording, podcast creation and live performance. The youth-led studio sessions and podcast gave participants opportunities to contribute their ideas and shape creative work. Showcase events enabled local young artists to share their talent with an audience and gain experience of performing. The CIC received a National Lottery grant of £17,000 to support the delivery of studio sessions and the creation of a youth-led podcast. This funding supported practical creative opportunities for young people and the CIC's work to develop local talent. The community benefit of these activities was the provision of supported opportunities for young people to learn creative skills, develop their talents and gain an introduction to the music industry. Participants developed skills in production, song writing, recording and performance, with consistent mentoring supporting their progress.
The CIC consulted young participants through a dedicated focus group. This provided an opportunity to discuss their experiences, identify what was working well and consider areas for improvement in the projects. Participants expressed enthusiasm about being part of an initiative that supported positive change and empowered young people to create. Their feedback highlighted the value they placed on opportunities to take part in music and creative activities and contribute to the projects. In response to feedback, the CIC adjusted participant numbers to suit the size of the space in which activities were delivered. This change was intended to make better use of the available space and support a more suitable working environment for participants.
