Life Ahead CiC was incorporated on 27 December 2024. During the financial year (27 December 2024 to 31 December 2025), the company's activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - The company delivered counselling support services to 43 Ukrainian women over a 4-month period, under a partnership project ("WWW Ukraine Project – 2025") with Harmony in Health CIC, providing structured psychological support to women affected by the war in Ukraine. - The company ran a free online therapeutic reading and discussion series, "My Women", for 10 Ukrainian women who had experienced the war, reading and discussing extracts from the book "My women" by Yuliia Iliukha under the facilitation of a psychotherapist; the series culminated in a live discussion session with the author. - In total, 53 Ukrainian women affected by the war received free or partly-funded psychological and peer support through these two programmes. - The company was awarded a grant under the NHS South West London Women's Health Grants Programme (administered by Merton Connected), with service delivery scheduled for the following financial year. - The company established its professional and governance foundations during the period, including professional indemnity and public liability insurance and BACP membership for its lead practitioner, to ensure safe and accredited delivery of services.
Life Ahead CiC's stakeholders include the Ukrainian women it supports through its programmes, partner organisations working with the Ukrainian community (including Harmony in Health CIC), Hammersmith & Fulham Council (in connection with the Ukrainian Women's counselling support project), and Merton Connected (in connection with the Women's Health Grants Programme). Stakeholders were consulted through: - Surveys conducted at several points during the counselling support and reading programmes to gather participant feedback. - Collection of participants' topics of interest and support needs at the registration stage, prior to each programme. - Regular exchange of information with partner organisations working with the Ukrainian community. - Monitoring of feedback shared via the company's social media channels. In response to this feedback, the company adapted session content and topics to better reflect the needs and priorities expressed by participants.
