During the financial year, Curate Your Genius CIC delivered community-focused activities designed to support young people and families through education, engagement and opportunities for participation. Through Building Futures: Safer, Smarter Families, we worked with young people, parents and carers to increase awareness and understanding of online safety, digital harms and the challenges young people can face online. The programme created opportunities for open conversations between young people and adults, helping families to build knowledge and confidence and supporting adults to better understand and respond to young people’s experiences. Curate Your Genius CIC also contributed to Enfield Youth Day, creating opportunities for young people to participate, connect with local organisations and services, and have their voices and experiences recognised. The event brought young people, community organisations and local partners together while celebrating young people’s talents, interests and contribution to their community. Through these activities, the company benefited the community by supporting education and awareness, strengthening relationships between young people, families and local organisations, and creating spaces in which young people could participate, learn and be heard.
The company’s stakeholders included young people, parents and carers, community organisations, delivery partners and other local organisations involved in supporting young people and families. Stakeholders were consulted through conversations, planning and collaborative working during the development and delivery of Building Futures: Safer, Smarter Families and Enfield Youth Day. Young people and families were also able to share their experiences, perspectives and feedback through their participation in activities and discussions. This engagement helped to inform how activities were delivered, including the importance of making information accessible and relevant, creating opportunities for open conversations between young people and adults, and ensuring that young people had meaningful opportunities to participate and be heard. Feedback and learning from these activities have also helped inform the company’s approach to developing future community programmes and engagement.
During the financial year, one director received remuneration of £175 for work undertaken on behalf of the company. No other benefits were provided to directors.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
