COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

I AM ICHRONIC CIC

Company Number: 16510576 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2026

Company activities and impact

I am IChronic CIC is a disabled and autistic-led Community Interest Company supporting chronically ill, disabled and neurodivergent individuals and their carers/loved ones through advocacy, education, awareness and community connection. During the period ended 30 June 2026, the CIC provided advocacy support, healthcare navigation guidance, signposting to relevant services, educational resources, awareness activities and community support for individuals and families affected by chronic illness, disability and neurodivergence. The CIC directly supported more than 30 individuals through advocacy conversations, guidance, healthcare navigation support, signposting and educational resources. Support covered a range of issues including chronic illness, disability, neurodivergence, healthcare access, patient advocacy, disability benefits, women's health concerns and self-advocacy. In addition to direct support, the CIC provided wider community benefit through educational and awareness content shared online, helping to increase understanding of chronic illness and disability and reduce isolation experienced by many members of the community. The CIC also engaged with local and regional stakeholders, contributed lived-experience perspectives to discussions relating to disability, healthcare inequalities and women's health, and developed partnerships with community and social impact organisations. During the year, the organisation was selected as one of the organisations supported through the Mayor of Rugby community engagement programme and also engaged with disability entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities through the Lilac Centre and associated mentoring initiatives.
