Notes to the Financial Statements
for the Year Ended 30 April 2026

1. Statutory information

Exmoor Travel Ltd is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. Accounting policies

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Goodwill
Amortisation of goodwill has not been provided for by the company as in the opinion of the directors it has an indefinite useful economic life. This accounting policy departs from the requirements of FRS 102 to amortise goodwill over a finite period. The effect of the departure is that amortisation as required by the requirements of FRS 102 has not been accounted for. If amortisation had been accounted for the charge for the year would have amounted to £500 and the profit for the year reduced accordingly.

Intangible assets
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Fixtures and fittings - 25% on reducing balance
Computer equipment - 33% on reducing balance

Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost and are subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated depreciation and impairment losses.

Financial instruments
The company only enters into basic financial instruments that result in the recognition of the financial assets and liabilities such as trade and other debtors and creditors. These are measured at amortised cost and assessed at the end of each reporting period for objective evidence of impairment. If objective evidence of impairment is found, an impairment loss is recognised in the statement of income and retained earnings.

Taxation
The taxation expense represents the aggregate amount of current tax recognised in the reporting year . Tax is recognised in the statement of income and retained earnings. Current tax is recognised on taxable profit for the current year.

Current tax is measured at the amounts of tax expected to be paid using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the reporting date.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date.

Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
