During the financial year, Everyone’s A Singer CIC delivered accessible singing, songwriting and music-based wellbeing activities for adults and young people. Our activities created welcoming spaces where participants could connect with others, express themselves creatively and use music to support their mental health and wellbeing. Programmes included community singing sessions, songwriting and music technology activities, workshops for young people, and music-led wellbeing experiences delivered in partnership with community organisations and other institutions. Our Finding Harmony programme supported adults through group singing, breathing exercises, creative activities and opportunities for social connection. The sessions were designed to reduce isolation, build confidence and help participants access practical tools they could continue using to support their wellbeing. Our work with young people provided opportunities to develop songwriting, performance and music technology skills. Participants were encouraged to explore their creativity, develop confidence and learn about possible pathways within music and the creative industries. We also provided paid opportunities for musicians and facilitators, helping creative practitioners to develop experience in delivering inclusive community and wellbeing-focused activities. Feedback gathered from participants showed that people valued the supportive environment, the opportunity to meet others and the positive impact that singing and music had on their mood, confidence and sense of connection.
Everyone’s A Singer CIC consulted with participants, facilitators, volunteers, community partners and other organisations involved in supporting or hosting our activities. Participants were invited to provide feedback through conversations during and after sessions, questionnaires and wellbeing check-ins. This feedback helped us understand what participants enjoyed, what they found beneficial and what could be improved. We also consulted with delivery partners and host organisations when planning programmes. These discussions covered the needs of the communities they supported, suitable session formats, accessibility requirements, safeguarding considerations, venues and the timing of activities. Facilitators and volunteers were encouraged to share feedback about session delivery, participant engagement and any emerging needs. This information was used to improve future sessions and make adjustments to programme content and delivery. The feedback received helped shape our activities, including the balance between singing, songwriting, group discussion and wellbeing exercises. It also informed decisions about future programmes, locations and opportunities for participants to continue engaging with Everyone’s A Singer CIC.
