NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Cloud Network Services Ltd is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Commission receivable by the company is recorded at the point of agreed customer deals, existing and new contracts, and is recognised to the limit that there is a right to consideration and is recorded at the value of the consideration due. This occurs at different stages throughout the contract from recognition on connection at the outset followed by monthly sums as the customer is connected.

Revenue from commissions is measured over the life of the specific contract and deferred accordingly when amounts are received in advance. The director has determined an average contract length of twenty seven months given an analysis of all contracts. Commission revenues are thus spread over this average contract length.

Where funds for handsets and ancillary mobile phone products are made available to customers at the inception of each contract, such funds are initially recognised as a liability with cost spread over the duration of the contract. In accordance with agreed terms, customers are able to draw down against this fund over the duration of the contract. Any element of the fund remaining at the termination of the contract is either released or transferred on renewal to a follow on contract.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Improvements to property - 20% on cost
Fixtures and fittings - 25% on reducing balance
Motor vehicles - 25% on cost
Computer equipment - 25% on cost

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.

Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
