Ffair Jobs CIC is a community-led social enterprise tackling poverty wages, unemployment and workforce under-representation in Cardiff's most diverse and economically disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Rooted in community organising through Citizens Cymru Wales, we work with residents and employers to ensure local people can access good jobs that are secure, paid and inclusive. Our flagship initiative, the Community Jobs Compact, holds employers accountable for paying the Living Wage, using inclusive recruitment practices and offering job security and progression. Our Impact: 112 Living Wage jobs promoted through our Community Jobs Board and outreach networks. 36 residents supported directly with CVs, applications and interview preparation. 12 confirmed job starts, with ongoing in-work support. 30+ employers actively engaged across public, private and third sectors.
We worked with our key partners and stakeholders to identify and support people who want to gain skills and employment. Our key stakeholders came together, including the Into Work Team at Cardiff Council, our community partners, Citizens Cymru, and all of our employers.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £400. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for directors’ loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
