Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
Basis of preparation. These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 105, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime, and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the micro-entity provisions. They cover the period from incorporation on 19 December 2024 to 31 December 2025, a period of 12 months and 13 days. There are no comparative figures as this is the company’s first accounting period. The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company, and under the historical cost convention.
Turnover. Turnover represents amounts receivable for consultancy services provided in the ordinary course of business, net of value added tax. The company is not registered for VAT. Turnover is recognised when the service has been performed and the right to consideration has been established.
Tangible fixed assets. Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation. Depreciation is provided so as to write off the cost of each asset over its estimated useful life, on a straight line basis over three years, with a full charge in the period of acquisition and none in the period of disposal.
Taxation. The tax charge represents the corporation tax payable on the taxable profits of the period. Because the period of account exceeds 12 months it is divided into two corporation tax accounting periods and a charge is computed for each.
Going concern. The directors have resolved that the company will cease to trade and that an application will be made for the company to be struck off the register. The financial statements have therefore been prepared on a basis other than going concern. No adjustments to the carrying value of assets or liabilities were required as a result, the directors being satisfied that the tangible fixed assets are stated at no more than their recoverable amount and that all liabilities have been provided for.
