Report of the Directors
for the Year Ended 31 March 2026

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the year ended 31 March 2026.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
The principal activity of the company in the year under review was that of Wholesale of electronic and telecommunications equipment and parts

REVIEW OF BUSINESS
During the year ended 31 March 2026, Spire Business Communications Limited continued its transition from a traditional telecommunications provider into a broader managed technology services business. This strategic evolution has resulted in significant growth in turnover while requiring substantial investment in people, systems, service delivery and operational capability.

Turnover increased by more than 42%, demonstrating continued customer confidence and successful expansion of the company's managed IT, Microsoft Cloud, connectivity and professional services offerings. While gross profit margin reduced during the period due to changes in service mix and increased supplier costs, the Directors consider this to be consistent with the company's long-term strategy of increasing recurring managed service revenues and strengthening customer retention.

The business continued to invest heavily in recruitment, expanding the workforce from eight to thirteen employees. This investment has strengthened project delivery, customer support and technical capability while creating the infrastructure necessary for future growth.

The Directors recognise that sustained growth places additional demands on operational processes. Consequently, significant emphasis has been placed on strengthening the Quality Management System, improving project governance, developing documented procedures, enhancing customer communications and investing in employee competence.

During the reporting period the Directors also recognised several strategic priorities:

• improving consistency across technical service delivery;
• strengthening project management and customer success activities;
• increasing documentation and knowledge management;
• developing measurable operational KPIs;
• improving supplier performance monitoring;
• enhancing cyber security governance;
• preparing the organisation for continued scalable growth.

The Directors remain satisfied that the plans previously agreed continue to support the organisation's strategic objectives and provides an appropriate framework for managing operational risk whilst delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
