TRUSTEES' REPORT (INCLUDING DIRECTORS' REPORT)
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
- 1 -

The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the financial statements and comply with the charitable trust's governing document, the Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)".

Objectives and activities

The primary aims of the Trust are to fulfil the role of a Christian Church in the Burton on Trent area and elsewhere by any means whatsoever and to provide help to others in promoting the Christian faith in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The Church: Its Aims and objectives

1. The aim of the church is to communicate the Christian Faith by lifestyle and proclamation of the Christian Gospel and the teaching of Christian doctrine and principles as well as the pastoral care of Christian people and the printing and distribution of the Bible and Christian literature.

2. The relief of persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress or who are aged or sick.

3. The advancement of education on the basis of Christian principles for the general education of children or adults.

4. The promotion of other charitable purposes beneficial to the community in and around Burton on Trent or such other places as the Trust may from time to time operate.

Kingdom Advance Network (KAN) is part of the "Church in Burton" and has a long standing relationship with Glory of Zion International, a Christian organisation that pursues similar objectives around the world. It is also part of Christian International Ministries, with its headquarters in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

The ministry also works with other like-hearted organisations and individuals who are part of our wider partnership.

The Church: Its Structure and terminology

The KAN Trustee board members manage KAN as a business, holding a position of trust and responsibility for the benefit of KAN's stakeholders. Directions relating to the charitable trust are made by the Trustees in consultation with the Apostolic Leaders and Pastors, who are responsible for governing the life and teaching of the church. Day to day decisions on expenditure and activities are decided by the staff and volunteers in charge of various areas of the church, within budgets set and monitored by the Trustees. The powers of appointment or removal of Trustees rests with both themselves and the Apostolic Leaders.

Whilst the church does employ a small number of paid staff, it is the work of every member of the church, that makes the difference in the church achieving objectives.

The financial resources of the church, to a very large extent, are given by members and stakeholders, and their private assets and equipment are regularly used in the work of the church. Much of this work is done privately, without recognition and the hours and value of that time cannot be quantified.

The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charitable trust should undertake.

Achievements and performance

The Year: Its Objectives and Achievements

Kingdom Advance Network have regular monthly in-person gatherings and these are broadcast on all major media platforms.

We have held broadcasts for training, equipping with interviews and programs giving an informal look into people and subjects appropriate to our audience. Invited speakers have come from both the UK and abroad bringing a fresh approach as well as variety.

We have found that many more people engaged with our ministry than just those who could attend our services, with increased numbers from abroad.

Practical help to the community

We started a mid week drop in session in our building working with our local council called “Warm Space”, an initiative for those who struggle to keep their homes heated during the cold weather. We also continue to financially support organisations out of our Mission Account.

These include:

Christian Concern for our Nation - Give legal help and support to those people who are falling foul of new legislation that not always provides Christians the right to hold their own convictions according to the Bible.

Betel - This organisation works across the UK with ex addicts - drugs and alcohol helping, very successfully, to rehabilitate men and women. Their teams help us with providing food and refreshments at our gatherings. We maintain a strong connection with Betel and their leadership.

Passion for Jesus Ministries - Has been serving the nations for many years now, with supporting churches through teaching and preaching, but also practically with humanitarian aid, building clinics, orphanage's etc.

International House of Apostolic Reformation (IHAR) We helped to establish and continue to support a Christian Apostolic Centre in Iserlohn, Germany. We have regular contact and support through encouragement, finance and speaking at their conference at the beginning of May.

Spread the Word Ministries India. We support a Christian Apostolic Centre in Chandigarh, India. We have regular contact and support through encouragement, finance and speaking at one of their conferences.

Other Ministries - The ministry works with Jewish communities in Israel and elsewhere. We help equip leaders from various church backgrounds to teach and train and provide teaching materials. We also manufacture and distribute teaching materials in the UK and internationally. We have developed our own teaching resources which include business and leadership training, vision, personal development etc., as well as biblical principles. Our members live across the region, with some travelling an hour or more for our gatherings.

Outside Ministry

Stephen and Jenny ministered in Belfast and India in January.

February they were sent to complete Prophetic Training @ CI Florida HQ in order that KAN can conduct our own training in the UK and Europe.

April S&J ministered in Romania with Anne Tate & Jody Wood.

May Stephen & Kevin Damant attended a conference in Rome.

July S&J attended the Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast in London

July S&J met with CI Europe Leaders in Amsterdam

November Prayer Assignment in NYC/UN and then travelled to GoZI in Dallas Texas.

December attended House of Prayer in Carmel, then stayed @ Villa Brown Jerusalem.

Fortunately the development of our media department enabled us to communicate to a greater global audience and take advantage of new technology and media platforms.

Some of the year’s highlights have included:

Media

The members and partners of our church appreciate our broadcasts and have been enabled to not feel isolated or suffer from anxiety and fear. Our viewing figures continue to climb and we consistently have new viewers from various nations joining our broadcasts.

Gatherings

We have chosen to host monthly gatherings, with speakers from our home team. These have become popular with many and we have new visitors every month. As a result we are also adding new partners to the ministry.

Advance Men

Our mens ministry continues to help the men open up their hearts and lives to other men to enable them to improve their mental and emotional, as well as spiritual health.

New signage

In July we installed new signage to the front of our property (on the roadside) and on the front of our building. This has given greater visibility, advertising our presence with a modern and professional design.

Plans for 2026

We have plans with our partner ministry - Betel UK, to completely revamp and develop of cafe and kitchen to provide a cafe/restaurant service, six days a week to the general public around the area, for businesses and nearby residents.

Opening our building more, during the week, will create a space for people to have contact, listening ears and deal with loneliness and isolation. We look forward to developing more lasting relationships through this partnership.

The Trustees have complied with the duty in section 17(5) of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

Financial review
Reserves policy

The Trustees have set a policy of retaining reserves, where possible, for the foreseeable needs of the church. Where there is specific capital expenditure foreseen amounts are set aside into designated funds so the free reserves (general reserves excluding amounts invested in assets for the churches use) are available to meet the costs of normal running and expansion of the church and to ensure the church can meet the commitments that have been entered into.

Grant Making Policy

Gifts to external organisations and individuals are considered by the Trustees on the basis of need and fulfilment of the charitable objectives. There are no upper or lower limits of support.

Major risks

The trustees has assessed the major risks to which the charitable trust is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.

Risk Management

All major insurable risks are subject to normal churches and employers’ insurance. Contractual risks are reviewed before being entered into to assess that they could not significantly impact upon the church’s ability to fulfil its objectives. An annual review of areas of risk is undertaken by the Trustees in conjunction with staff and volunteers responsible for the area of activity.

Structure, governance and management

The charitable trust is a company limited by guarantee.

The trustees, who are also the directors for the purpose of company law, and who served during the year and up to the date of signature of the financial statements were:

Prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Charity will continue in operation.

The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Acts. They are also responsible for safe- guarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. The Trustees confirm that the accounts com- ply with current statutory requirements and those of the Charity’s trust deed.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
TO THE TRUSTEES OF Kingdom Advance Network
- 7 -

I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of Kingdom Advance Network (the charitable trust) for the year ended 31 December 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the trustees of the charitable trust (and also its directors for the purposes of company law), you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006.

Having satisfied myself that the financial statements of the charitable trust are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the Companies Act 2006 and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of the charitable trust’s financial statements carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act 2011.

Independent examiner's statement

Since the charitable trust’s gross income exceeded £250,000, the independent examiner must be a member of a body listed in section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. I confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examination because I am a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which is one of the listed bodies.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1

accounting records were not kept in respect of the charitable trust as required by section 386 of the Companies Act 2006.

2

the financial statements do not accord with those records; or

3

the financial statements do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the Companies Act 2006 other than any requirement that the financial statements give a true and fair view, which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4

the financial statements have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the financial statements to be reached.

Accounting policies
Charity information

Kingdom Advance Network is a private company limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The registered office is KAN, Hawkins Lane, Burton on Trent, DE14 1EJ.

1.1
Accounting convention

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charitable trust's governing document, the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Charities SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)". The charitable trust is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.

The charitable trust has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities not to prepare a statement of cash flows.

The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the charitable trust. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, [modified to include the revaluation of freehold properties and to include investment properties and certain financial instruments at fair value]. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.

1.2
Going concern

At the time of approving the financial statements, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charitable trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.

1.3
Charitable funds

Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their charitable objectives.

Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. The purposes and uses of the restricted funds are set out in the notes to the financial statements.

Endowment funds are subject to specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintained by the charitable trust.
1.4
Income
Income is recognised when the charitable trust is legally entitled to it after any performance conditions have been met, the amounts can be measured reliably, and it is probable that income will be received.

Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once the charitable trust has been notified of the donation, unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount. Income tax recoverable in relation to donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the time of the donation.

Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise if the charitable trust has been notified of an impending distribution, the amount is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount is not known, the legacy is treated as a contingent asset.

1.5
Expenditure

Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement, and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.

Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and support costs which are not attributable to a single activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges are allocated on the portion of the asset’s use.

1.6
Tangible fixed assets

Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation, net of depreciation and any impairment losses.

Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their useful lives on the following bases:

Freehold land and buildings
1% Reducing balance
Fixtures and fittings
15% reducing balance

The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds and the carrying value of the asset, and is recognised in the statement of financial activities.

1.7
Impairment of fixed assets

At each reporting end date, the charitable trust reviews the carrying amounts of its tangible assets to determine whether there is any indication that those assets have suffered an impairment loss. If any such indication exists, the recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss (if any).

1.8
Stocks

Stocks are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost comprises direct materials and, where applicable, direct labour costs and those overheads that have been incurred in bringing the stocks to their present location and condition. Items held for distribution at no or nominal consideration are measured the lower of replacement cost and cost.

Net realisable value is the estimated selling price less all estimated costs of completion and costs to be incurred in marketing, selling and distribution.

1.9
Cash and cash equivalents

Cash and cash equivalents include cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks, other short-term liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.

Basic financial assets

Basic financial assets, which include debtors and cash and bank balances, are initially measured at transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the transaction is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.

Basic financial liabilities

Basic financial liabilities, including creditors and bank loans are initially recognised at transaction price unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is measured at the present value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interest. Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are not amortised.

Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.

Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of operations from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified as current liabilities if payment is due within one year or less. If not, they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

Derecognition of financial liabilities

Financial liabilities are derecognised when the charitable trust’s contractual obligations expire or are discharged or cancelled.

1.10
Employee benefits

The cost of any unused holiday entitlement is recognised in the period in which the employee’s services are received.

Termination benefits are recognised immediately as an expense when the charitable trust is demonstrably committed to terminate the employment of an employee or to provide termination benefits.

2
Critical accounting estimates and judgements

In the application of the charitable trust’s accounting policies, the trustees are required to make judgements, estimates and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on historical experience and other factors that are considered to be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimates.

The estimates and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting estimates are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that period, or in the period of the revision and future periods where the revision affects both current and future periods.
