| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
FJ Corporation Ltd is a
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Preparation of consolidated financial statements
The financial statements contain information about FJ Corporation Ltd as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements.
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
Tangible fixed assets
Plant & machinery 25% reducing balance
Motor vehicles 25% reducing balance
Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost.
Investment property
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair value is recognised in profit or loss.
This is a departure from the Companies Act which requires assets to be depreciated. However, in the opinion of the directors, property is held primarily for their investment potential and so fair value is of more significance as a measure of consumption. They therefore have applied a true and fair override with respect to investment properties.
The directors have made key assumptions in the determination of the fair value of an investment property in respect of the state of the property market in the location where the property is situated and in respect of the range of reasonable fair value estimates of the asset.
Financial instruments
The company only enters into basic financial instruments transactions that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade and other debtors and creditors, loans from banks and other third parties, loans to related parties and investments in non-puttable ordinary shares.
Debt instruments (other than those wholly repayable or receivable within one year), including loans and other accounts receivable and payable, are initially measured at present value of the future cash flows and subsequently amortised cost using the effective interest method. Debt instruments that are payable or receivable within one year, typically trade debtors and creditors, are measured initially and subsequently, at the undiscounted amount of the cash or other consideration expected to be paid or received.
Financial assets that are measured at cost and amortised cost are assessed at the end of each reporting period for objective evidence of impairment. If objective evidence of impairment is found, an impairment loss is recognised in the Statement of Comprehensive Income.

| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

At 31 March 2025
Revaluation reserve of £8,216,454 (2024: £8,340,105) represents the fair value adjustment of the investment properties less deferred tax. FRS 102 section 1A requires that the changes in fair value be recognised in the profit and loss, but that the fair value gains cannot be distributed to the shareholders as a dividend.
Deferred tax liability of £2,738,818 (2024: £1,644,345) has been provided on the investment property in accordance with the requirements of FRS 102 section 1A based on the potential capital gains tax payable if the properties were to be disposed of at a fair value. The deferred tax has been calculated based on the current corporation tax rate at 25%.
