During its second year of operation, Reviving Links CIC continued to grow its reach and impact by delivering a range of community heritage, wellbeing, and social inclusion projects. The organisation successfully delivered programmes including Heritage Wear and a Youth NEET project, helping young people explore heritage, identity, and belonging while building confidence, skills, and aspirations for the future. Building on its first year, Reviving Links CIC established and expanded additional community initiatives focused on heritage engagement, peer support, and community development. The organisation extended its work into neighbouring boroughs, successfully delivering projects such as Stories of Harrow Ciyaar Somali and Black Women’s Resilience, which celebrated cultural heritage, strengthened community connections, and promoted wellbeing. The CIC developed and supported community volunteers, enabling them to become community champions who actively contribute to local activities and support others within their communities. New parent support groups for families of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) were also established, providing opportunities for peer support, information sharing, and reduced social isolation. Throughout the year, Reviving Links CIC strengthened partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders, increasing opportunities for collaboration and improving access to services for local residents. Through its projects, more community members became engaged with the wider community, helping to reduce isolation and improve social connections. The organisation also delivered women’s wellbeing and health activities, supporting participants to improve their mental and physical health through peer support, education, and community engagement. Volunteers were supported to prepare for employment, develop skills, and access further training and educational opportunities. In addition, members of the Youth NEET programme were successfully supported into full-time employment and further education, contributing to improved life chances and greater economic participation. Overall, Reviving Links CIC has provided significant community benefit by promoting heritage and cultural identity, improving health and wellbeing, reducing isolation, increasing community participation, and supporting individuals towards education, volunteering, and employment opportunities as well as reconnecting with their heritage and identity.
The Reviving Links CIC’s key stakeholders include service users, volunteers, community members, partner organisations, supporters, and local community groups participating in or benefiting from its activities. Stakeholder consultation is carried out on an ongoing basis through project and event feedback forms, informal discussions with participants and community members, volunteer meetings, engagement with partner organisations, and regular conversations with supporters and community representatives. Feedback gathered through these consultations is used to inform service delivery, shape the design of new projects, improve existing activities, and support the strategic development of the organisation. In response to stakeholder feedback, Reviving Links CIC has expanded its heritage and wellbeing programmes, developed new peer support initiatives, established SEN parent support groups, increased volunteering opportunities, broadened its geographical reach into neighbouring boroughs, and strengthened partnership working to better meet community needs. This continued engagement with stakeholders ensures that the organisation’s activities remain community-led, accessible, relevant, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people it serves.
