GlastonBlaby CIC Community Interest Company Report – CIC34 Activities and benefit to the community During the financial year, GlastonBlaby CIC continued to organise and develop the GlastonBlaby Charity Music Festival. The purpose of the event is to bring the local community together through live music and entertainment while raising funds and awareness for charities and good causes. The festival provides an affordable community event for local residents and families. It also provides opportunities for local musicians, performers, community groups, charities and other organisations to participate and engage directly with the public. The event is organised primarily through the time and efforts of volunteers. Any surplus generated by the event is used to support charitable causes and the continued operation and development of future GlastonBlaby community events. The CIC's activities therefore provide a direct community benefit by: * Bringing local residents and families together at a community event. * Supporting charities and good causes through fundraising. * Giving charities an opportunity to promote their work to the local community. * Providing opportunities for local musicians and performers. * Encouraging volunteering and community participation. * Reinvesting funds into the continuation and development of the event. Consultation with stakeholders The CIC maintains regular contact with people and organisations involved in the festival, including volunteers, charities, performers, suppliers, the venue and members of the local community. Feedback received following events is considered by the directors when planning future festivals. The directors also hold meetings to review the event and identify improvements for future years. Directors' remuneration No remuneration was paid to the directors for their work as directors of GlastonBlaby CIC during the financial year. The directors contribute significant time on a voluntary basis to organising and running the event. Transfer of assets other than for full consideration No assets were transferred by the CIC for less than full consideration during the financial year, other than any charitable donations or payments made in accordance with the CIC's community purpose. Conclusion GlastonBlaby CIC continues to operate for the benefit of the community. Its principal focus is the organisation of the GlastonBlaby Charity Music Festival and using the event to bring people together, support local participation and raise funds and awareness for charitable causes.
