NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JULY 2025
| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
Rostaglow Limited is a
The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty
The directors have determined that properties are held for sale in the ordinary course of business and are therefore classified as stock rather than investment properties. This judgement is based on the directors' intention to dispose of the properties when market conditions permit.
The carrying amount of stocks is reviewed on an ongoing basis. The assessment of net realisable value is based on market conditions at the reporting date and, where appropriate, professional advice. Actual results may differ from these estimates.
Turnover
Turnover represents rents receivable during the year from property letting, net of value added tax.
Tangible fixed assets
| Fixtures and fittings | - |
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost (or deemed cost) or valuation less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses. Cost includes costs directly attributable to making the asset capable of operating as intended.
Investment property
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair value is recognised in profit or loss.
Stocks
Stocks comprise properties held for resale in the ordinary course of business and are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. Cost includes purchase price and directly attributable expenditure. Net realisable value represents the estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell.
Financial instruments
A financial asset or a financial liability is recognised only when the entity becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabilities are offset, with the net amounts presented in the financial statements, when there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there is an intention to settle on a net basis or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously.
Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at the transaction price and are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the financial instrument is measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest..

| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
Going concern
At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors had a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. As such the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
