  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover relates to parking charges, lease extensions and similar income receivable under agreements with certain lessees at Belle Vue Court.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Freehold property is stated at historic cost, and the director does not consider it appropriate to provide for depreciation. The directors have not provided for depreciation on the company’s freehold property and are taking advantage of the true and fair override, departing from the prescribed treatment in S17 of FRS 102, which requires all tangible fixed assets to be depreciated over their estimated economic lives. This is necessary to give a true and fair view as the value of the freehold is in excess of the book cost of the land and buildings included in these financial statements.
