COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE RESPONSIBLE DOG RESCUE C.I.C.

Company Number: 13090550 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

In the year to 31 Dec 2025, the company enabled 98 dogs to travel to new homes in the UK. The company supported the foster/adopters of these 98 dogs with information and advice (concerning health, diet, behaviour, training, veterinary matters and responsible dog ownership). The company also provided support to rescuers, for veterinary treatment and feeding the dogs as required These activities provided benefit as follows: To the UK residents who have rehomed the rescue dogs – by supporting them before and after the dog has arrived, we are maximising the chances of a happy and successful match between dog and owner To the rescuers, who need the support and funding, and need an organisation to rehome the dogs they have rescued in order to be able to rescue other dogs To the general public – by continuing to promote responsible dog ownership, and awareness of dog welfare issues to the circa 49,000 people who follow our Facebook page To the dogs who have been rescued – good, safe homes for these dogs, who would otherwise have led difficult and hungry lives on the streets To the volunteers who commit much of their spare time to the rescue – skills acquired via a mix of informal and formal training (dog behaviourist skills, home checker skills, administrative skills, social media skills). The volunteers get a huge amount out of the roles as they can see such a tangible outcome, and they ‘belong’ within the company community.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders are: The dog rescuers – we constantly consult with the rescuers to improve the way we all work together. For example, liaising with them to prioritise the dogs in most need. The community of adopters and fosters – we form close, ongoing bonds with them and work with them to deal with any issues as they arise, and to constantly tweak and improve our processes to make it a positive experience throughout The wider community of our circa 49,000 Facebook members – even for those who are unable to foster or adopt a dog, we post a regular stream of information about the dogs so that they can be engaged on a daily basis. The volunteers – we work as a team to prioritise the dogs, and to maximise the chances of a successful placement of a dog in a home. We offer broad opportunities to the volunteers and welcome a diverse group of people, from all over the UK, all with one thing in common – the desire to improve the lives of the dogs
