for the Year Ended 31 December 2025

Basis of preparing the financial statements
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
Tangible fixed assets
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Basic financial instruments
Basic financial liabilities, including creditors, are initially recognised at transaction price unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is measured at the present value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interest.
Financial liabilities classified as payable within one year are not amortised.. Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of business from suppliers (including royalties payable to authors and composers).. Amounts payable are classified as current liabilities if payment is due within one year or less. If not, they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Derecognition of financial liabilities
Financial liabilities are derecognised when the company's contractual obligations expire or are discharged or cancelled -eg., if the legal right of the creditor to pursue a debt expires, such as through the expiration of statutory limitation periods (e.g., 6 years under the Limitation Act 1980 in England).
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
Going concern
The directors have made an assessment of the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. They have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for at least twelve months from the date the financial statements are approved and authorized for issue.
In-depth evaluations included reviewing future cash flow forecasts, liquid resources, and ongoing support from stakeholders or group entities. As a result, the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing these financial statements. There are no material uncertainties that cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue trading.
Provisions
Provisions are recognised when the company has a legal or constructive present obligation as a result of a past event, it is probable that the company will be required to settle that obligation and a reliable estimate can be made of the amount of the obligation.
The amount recognised as a provision is the best estimate of the consideration required to settle the present obligation at the reporting end date, taking into account the risks and uncertainties surrounding the obligation. Where the effect of the time value of money is material, the amount expected to be required to settle the obligation is recognised at present value. When a provision is measured at present value, the unwinding of the discount is recognised as a finance cost in profit or loss in the period in which it arises.
Exceptional items
Exceptional items are material items of income or expense that derive from the ordinary activities of the company, but which are presented separately due to their size, nature, or incidence. The company classifies these items as exceptional to provide a clearer understanding of the underlying financial performance.Such items may include, but are not limited to:
- Costs of fundamental restructuring or reorganisation
- Gains or losses on the disposal or termination of operations
- Significant impairments or write-downs of non-current assets
- Material derecognition of liabilities
Each exceptional item is adequately described in the notes to the financial statements for the relevant reporting period.
