Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Brave Hearts North East CIC delivered activities focused on improving wellbeing, encouraging inclusion, supporting personal development and strengthening community connections. The CIC delivered a family sports day in partnership with the SD&R Group as part of the celebrations marking 200 years of the Darlington and Stockton railway. The event used sport as a way to promote physical activity, mental wellbeing and social connection. By providing an accessible and welcoming environment, families were able to participate, build confidence, develop supportive networks and benefit from the positive impact of shared activities and community engagement. The CIC also hosted Rainbow Chat 2025, an event designed to encourage and inspire entrepreneurship among women. The event provided a platform for women to share ideas, build confidence, develop connections and explore opportunities for business growth. Local businesses were supported through the opportunity to showcase their products and services, helping to increase visibility, promote collaboration and strengthen the local enterprise community. Through these activities, Brave Hearts North East CIC continued to create opportunities for community participation, empowerment and support. The company’s work benefited the community by promoting wellbeing, reducing isolation, encouraging entrepreneurship and building stronger relationships between individuals, families and local organisations.

Consultation with stakeholders

Brave Hearts North East CIC consulted with stakeholders including the local Council, local residents, families, young people, women, other community groups, local businesses, volunteers and partner organisations.
