COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE ANCOATS PLAYERS CIC

Company Number: 13063720 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

Although our financial activities have remained limited, we continued to support the local arts community. A key development was discussion with The Commission for New and Old Art (CNOA), an unincorporated group, about potential collaboration on future joint projects. As CNOA operates as an informal group rather than a registered organisation, any formal partnership will be structured carefully as plans develop. The board also saw a change during the year, with one CNOA-affiliated director stepping down and another member of the group taking up the role. We maintained existing connections with the residents of Ancoats, Ardwick, Beswick, and Miles Platting, local community groups, and the Northwest acting profession, continuing to explore how these relationships, together with the possible CNOA collaboration, could support sustainable theatre provision and enrich the local cultural landscape. Since the year end, this collaboration has progressed further and we look forward to reporting on its outcome in next year's report.
