During our second year, we successfully retained our charity event clients and continued to support organisations through our creative services. Although there was a reduction in income and overall trading activity during the year, we continued to explore funding opportunities that will enable us to further our mission of supporting young creatives. During the year, we were also able to provide recent graduates and individuals seeking to develop their careers with practical training, guidance and valuable real-life working experience. One of the first individuals we supported in this way was able to use the skills developed through our training, together with real-life projects completed with the CIC as part of his portfolio, to successfully secure full-time employment as a junior web developer. This provided a tangible example of the positive impact that practical experience, mentoring and access to genuine commercial projects can have on an individual's future employment opportunities. Looking ahead, we are exploring the potential to utilise space that we currently sublet to create a community pop-up workspace for early-stage founders within the county. This would provide an accessible space for individuals developing new businesses and creative ventures, while further extending the CIC's support within the local community.
