| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Changes in accounting policy
During the current financial year, the Company changed its accounting policy with respect to the treatment of consumables. Historically, items classified as consumables were excluded from the stock figure and fully expensed to the Profit and Loss account in the period of purchase. Under the new policy, these items are capitalized within stock upon acquisition and expensed to Cost of Sales only when consumed.
Management believes this policy provides more reliable and relevant information because it ensures a more accurate matching of costs with revenues and correctly reflects the physical assets held by the Company at the reporting date.
This change has been applied retrospectively, and the comparative figures for the prior period ended 31 December 2024 have been restated accordingly.
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
Tangible fixed assets
| Land and buildings | - |
| Plant and machinery etc | - |
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. Stock includes raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and consumable stores. Consumable stores are valued at cost and are recognized within stock until they are issued for use in the business.

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the annual report and financial statements.

| 8. | DISCLOSURE UNDER SECTION 444(5B) OF THE COMPANIES ACT 2006 |
The Report of the Auditors was unqualified.
We draw attention to Note 2 to the financial statements, which describes a change in the Company's accounting policy regarding the recognition and categorisation of stock. As disclosed in Note 2, the Company previously excluded items classified as consumables from its stock valuation, expensing them as incurred. Moving forward, these consumables are now recognised within the stock figure to provide more reliable and relevant financial information. Accordingly, the prior year comparative figures as of 31 December 2024 and for the year then ended have been restated to reflect this retrospective application. Our opinion is not modified in respect of this matter.
