COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

NATUREWORKS TRAINING COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 03987997 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During 2025 we provided over 12,000 hours of specialised, supported, nationally accredited land-based training and work experience to 21 people with learning difficulties and mental health/emotional support needs (our community), who achieved over 170 City and Guilds credits between them. The specialised social enterprise environment that we have designed and developed to meet our team's needs has created a motivated, independent team of workers that can achieve commercial standards. This has resulted in an increase in self-esteem, confidence and motivation, alongside real workplace skills. We have continued to develop micro-enterprises to provide real work opportunities that are accessible to people with support needs. Our newest venture in 2025, part funded by the South Gloucestershire Council Learning Difficulties Development fund, is called Flourishing Green and involved establishing 5 acres of foliage crops. This will provide a crop that is easier for our team to maintain and harvest, providing Winter work and species that may also be more resilient to climate change. It will also enhance the biodiversity of the site. We also hosted over 300 people from the local community on workshops and events, totalling over 600 hours. In addition, we received over 400 hours of volunteering support from local individuals and businesses. We provided work experience for 3 school pupils.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are our trainees with support needs, their parents and carers, South Gloucestershire Council and the NHS community teams, our customers and local community. We operate our business with an ethos of inclusion and participation, where everyone's opinion and ideas are valued and we actively seek input and feedback, on a daily basis, from our team and their support network. We also sit down for a more formal review session twice a year. We make sure there are always enough routes for our stakeholders to approach us with concerns or suggestions and actively remind them that we are always available and ready to listen and work collaboratively towards improvements and solutions. We comply with all South Glos Council's monitoring activities. We meet as a staff team and management committee weekly.

Directors' remuneration

Directors are paid a salary as detailed in the accounts, plus Dividends below the 35% cap, also detailed in the accounts.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
