FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025

Pagefield Communications Limited is a
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The preparation of the financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates, it also requires management to exercise judgement in applying the Company's accounting policies.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the limited company. Amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
Going concern
The Directors have prepared budgets for the next 12 months and after making appropriate judgements the Directors have reasonable expectations that the Company has adequate resources to continue operating for the foreseeable future.
The Company has net assets of £3.14m at the end of the period, including cash of £1.69m. The Directors are satisfied that the Company has sufficient resources to meet its commitments as they fall due for the twelve months following the date of signing of the accounts.
The Directors have therefore prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis.
Significant judgements and estimates
Key sources of estimation uncertainty
The preparation of the financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles requires the Directors to make estimations and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities at the date of the financial statements and the reported amounts of revenues and expenses during the reporting period. Actual results in the future could differ from those estimates. In this regard, the Directors believe that the critical accounting policies where judgments or estimations are necessarily applied are summarised below.
Provisions - (ie liabilities of uncertain timing or amount) are recognised when there is an obligation at the reporting date as a result of a past event, it is probable that economic benefit will be transferred to settle the obligation and the amount of the obligation can be estimated reliably.
Critical judgements in applying the entity's accounting policies
There are no critical judgements when applying the accounting policy which materially affect the amounts in the accounts.
Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the rendering of services of communications consultancy and is recognised in the financial statements by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences between the recognition of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in tax assessments. Deferred tax is measured using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
