Directors' report period ended 31 December 2025

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 December 2025

Principal activities of the company

GROUPS & ACADEMY With funding from Children in Need we now have expanded to 6 weekly game making after school groups at Impact Gamers base and established a new group at a local primary school (High Score). HIGH SCORE This is a partnership with Newby Primary School and their neighbouring high school Dixon's City Academy. We trained four Year 9 pupils to help support a game making after school group for eight Year 5s. We expected drop out but all the Year 9 students (Now year 10) have stayed volunteering their time weekly to support the now Year 6s in games development. The school has also benefited from getting a custom arcade machine we made for Bradford 2025 (see later) to showcase the children's work. STRATEGIC PROJECT WORK We have had our biggest percentage of income from external project work this year compared to grants. This work supported diverse groups of young people to make games outside of Impact Gamers HQ. Digital Creatives We worked again with the award winning Bradford Digital Creatives programme, encouraging young people in the district to make art digitally. We intensively worked with 3 schools and 20 young people helping the young people learn games making software in order to create their own games. The games were showcased in the National Science and Media Museum and the whole project won the "Best Use of Digital" in the Museum+Heritage Awards. www.scienceandmediamuseum.org.uk/digitalcreatives Summer S'cool Creative Wakefield We travelled outside of Bradford over Summer and worked in different venues teaching games making to young people in disadvantaged areas. creativewakefield.net/summer-scool-post/2025-impact-report/ Story of Mai Bradford Galleries asked us to help produce a game led by young people. This is one of our biggest game makes to date. Seven levels exploring the life of Mai, the first Polynesian to come to the UK. igamers.io/mai Jamie Jones Was our first commission from an individual for several years when an author wanted a game to promote their short story books. runjamie.com BRADFORD 2025 - City of Culture 2025 was the year Bradford was celebrated for its culture and creativity. We worked with over 30 young people to produce 5 games representing themes from their area. The games were shown in the Broadway arcade for 9 months on two arcade machines with the games played over 70,000 times. At our celebration show we had over 100 attendees. RESOURCES Over 2025 we have been refining our own curriculum for after school sessions called Unlocked. We have also been adding to a video resource called "Thinking in Fusion - a video manual" for learning how to use Clickteam Fusion game making software. Over this year our videos have amassed over 1,800 views. impactgamers.net/unlocked FUTURE PLANS We look to continue our digital training product for Primary Schools "My DigiTool Box" and continue to reach more and more young people. FEEDBACK "The difference made..." "We came to your show today at the Science and Media museum and I just wanted to say thank you so much!" - Parent 1 "We're not from Bradford, we came over from Morley after seeing your show advertised and my boys absolutely loved it! They have come away so inspired! My 8 year old has already made a start on designing his game, he couldn't wait! I have attached his design so far." - Parent 2

Company activities and impact

We have expanded to 6 free weekly game making after school groups at Impact Gamers base and established a new group at a local primary school (High Score). We meet over 30 children regularly weekly teaching them games making, and have interacted with 100's of other young people over the year. In our Bradford 2025 City of Culture work and a National Galleries commission , we worked with an extra 42 students on 5 different 6 week projects where older students (13yrs+) designed games as a team to express themselves more.

Consultation with stakeholders

We do termly feedback with parents and students. Students are enjoying the small weekly sessions They report growing in confidence They ask for the free play time to be extended at the start of sessions, Parents note how much the students enjoy the sessions but ask for session length to be extended and more choice of later sessions. We are looking to add a later session and allow students to arrive earlier for more free play time before the session starts

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received

Transfer of assets

Our 8 old computers (that were incapable of upgrading to the newer secure Windows 11) were donated to Footprints (Buttershaw Christian Family Centre) Charity number 1106767. They had a total value of approximately £400. We bought new machines with a grant of £2,100
