Programs In Prison This contracted work with NHS Health-Justice NW ended at the end of 2025 and the contract was not renewed due to the continued risks of lone working in what was becoming an increasingly chaotic and risky environment in the prisons. Over the course of the contract we had delivered 25 programs to 350 staff-prisoner mixed groups and achieved an 88% retention average which is unprecedented in this work. The work was also cited by HMIP and achieved significant results in the last few months targeting men who were isolating and in drug recovery and helping them engage with more of prison life. At the start of 2026 Andy Mouncey took an extended break from prison work to spend time on his own health and wellbeing and look for potential partners to collaborate with in order to do more of this work in the community and less in prison, and to have other contrasting work in his portfolio. This started with spending time with Lancs-based Project180 who do similar and different work and much more in the community with men who are at risk of going to prison or recently released. A Residential Retreat was held in Spring with RFYL supporters attending specifically to help Andy make the transition away from a dominance of prison work.
We recruited 3 new members – 2 women, one man - to RFYL CIC Advisory Board giving us a better mix and range of skills-experience. The AB continues to meet quarterly. Efforts to form a shadow board with students from a local college went on hold. We continued to work with Resilient Changing on good governance. The final report with presentation slides was produced for NHS H&J NW and is due to be presented to Prison Partnership Board NW later in 2026. The Mentoring Model with PwC held a cycle of review-plan and launched a second cohort of 5 mentoring pairs in Feb 2026 and consultations with senior leaders in the firm in order to expand this work.
Remuneration of £60,000 was paid to the director, A. Mouncey, during the year under review
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
