During the financial year, the CIC provided a safe, welcoming and supportive social and creative group for gay male asylum seekers. The group offered opportunities to take part in a range of creative activities, including pottery, art, drawing, creative writing and photography. These activities provided opportunities for participants to socialise, develop creative skills, build confidence and reduce social isolation within a supportive environment. Alongside the creative programme, the CIC also provided practical support where needed, including helping individuals to access health services and attend GP appointments. Through these activities, the CIC aimed to improve wellbeing, encourage social connection and provide a supportive community for gay male asylum seekers who may otherwise experience significant isolation and barriers to accessing services.
