Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
These financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 are the first financial statements that comply with FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. The date of transition is 1 January 2024.
The transition to FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities has resulted in a small number of changes in accounting policies to those used previously.
The nature of these changes and their impact on opening equity and profit for the comparative period are explained in the notes below.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Turnover represents the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company, net of value added tax and trade discounts.
The company operates a defined contribution scheme for the benefit of its employees. Contributions payable are recognised in the profit and loss account when due.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:
Transactions in currencies, other than the functional currency of the company, are recorded at the rate of the exchange on the date the transaction occurred. Monetary items denominated in other currencies are translated at the rate prevailing at the end of the reporting period. All differences are taken to the profit and loss account. Non-monetary items that are measured at the historic cost in a foreign currency are not retranslated.
Administrative expenses - General
Administrative expenses include an exceptional charge of £16,045 (2024: £Nil) in relation to the write-down and physical disposal of obsolete inventory lines. Due to the stock becoming entirely obsolete and unsaleable, its net realizable value fell to nil, resulting in its total disposal. This loss has been presented within administrative expenses to separate its distinct nature and impact from the company's regular operational overheads.

Reclassification of merchant processing charges
During the year, the company changed the presentation of merchant processing charges incurred in connection with its ecommerce sales. Merchant processing charges of £29,458 have been included within distribution costs for the year ended [31 DECEMBER 2025]. In the previous year, charges of £39,670 were included within bank charges.
The 2024 comparative figures have not been reclassified. Consequently, the reported movements in distribution costs and bank charges are not directly comparable between the two financial years.
This change relates solely to the classification and presentation of expenditure. It has no effect on total expenses, profit before taxation, net assets or cash flows for either financial year.
