| 2. | STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE |
| 3. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Going concern
The company is dependent for its working capital on funds provided to it by the parent company. The parent company has provided the company with a letter of support that, for at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements, they will continue to make available such funds as needed by the company. This should enable the company to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. As with any company placing reliance on other entities for financial support, the directors acknowledge that there is no guarantee that this support will continue although,at the date of approval of these financial statements, they have no reason to believe that it not do so.
Having reviewed budgets and cash flows, they have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources available to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future, with the support of its parent. For this reason, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
Preparation of consolidated financial statements
The financial statements contain information about Crif Realtime Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements.
Revenue
Revenue is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the company and the revenue can be reliably measured. Revenue is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. The following criteria must also be met before revenue is recognised:
Rendering of services:
Revenue from a contract to provide services is recognised in the period in which the services are provided in accordance with the stage of completion of the contract when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- the amount of revenue can be measured reliably;
- it is probable that the company will receive the consideration due under the contract;
- the stage of completion of the contract at the end of the reporting period can be measured reliably;and
- the costs incurred and the costs to complete the contract can be measured reliably.
Intangible assets
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.
An impairment loss has been recognised in the Profit and Loss Account, following an assessment at the Balance Sheet date indicating the recoverable amount was less than its carrying value.

Tangible fixed assets
| Computer equipment | - |
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses.
The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds and the carrying value of the asset, and is credited or charged to profit or loss.
Impairment of assets
At each reporting date fixed assets are reviewed to determine whether there is any indication that those assets have suffered an impairment loss. If there is an indication of possible impairment, the recoverable amount of any affected asset is estimated and compared with its carrying amount. If estimated recoverable amount is lower, the carrying amount is reduced to its estimated recoverable amount, and an impairment loss is recognised immediately in profit or loss.
If an impairment loss subsequently reverses, the carrying amount of the asset is increased to the revised estimate of its recoverable amount, but not in excess of the amount that would have been determined had no impairment loss been recognised for the asset in prior years. A reversal of an impairment loss is recognised immediately in profit or loss.
Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiaries and associates are initially measured at cost and subsequently measured at cost less any accumulated impairment losses.
Financial instruments
The company only enters into basic financial instrument transactions that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade and other accounts receivable and payable, loans from banks and other third parties, loans to related parties and investments on non-puttable ordinary shares.
Financial assets that are measured at cost and amortised cost are assessed at the end of each reporting period for objective evidence of impairment. If objective evidence of impairment is found, an impairment loss is recognised in profit or loss.
Taxation
A current tax liability is recognised for the tax payable on the taxable profit of the current and past periods. A current tax asset is recognised in respect of a tax loss that can be carried back to recover tax paid in a previous period.
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences between the recognition of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in tax assessments.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities and other future taxable profits.
Deferred tax is measured using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Current and deferred tax assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Foreign currencies
Transactions denominated in foreign currencies are translated into sterling and recorded at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of the transaction.
Balances at the year end denominated in a foreign currency are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date.
Employee benefits
Short term employee benefits, including contributions to defined contribution plans are recognised as an expense in the period in which they are incurred.
