COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

NAPSFORLIFE CIC

Company Number: 15931408 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2025

Company activities and impact

During the period from 3 September 2024 to 30 September 2025, NAPSFORLIFE CIC supported people living with narcolepsy and related sleep disorders through education, awareness and peer support. The company published 39 episodes of the Narcolepsy Navigators Podcast, available free of charge. Episodes shared personal experiences, clinical information from doctors and stories of advocacy. These helped listeners understand their conditions and feel less isolated. Listeners reported that hearing others with similar experiences made them feel less alone. The company ran online peer support sessions, enabling people affected by narcolepsy to connect and share experiences. For World Narcolepsy Day 2025, the company promoted awareness through clothing, stickers, magnets and notebooks. These reached supporters in the United Kingdom, United States and Portugal and encouraged conversations about an often misunderstood condition. The company also produced Colourful Journeys, a colouring book offering a restful activity for people managing fatigue and limited concentration. It maintained a public website and contact channels for information and support. These activities benefited a geographically dispersed community by providing free educational content, opportunities for connection and greater public awareness.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company consulted informally with people living with narcolepsy and related sleep disorders, families, carers, podcast listeners, guests, volunteers and supporters. Feedback was received through email, Instagram and TikTok comments, the website contact form and discussions with podcast guests. Listeners valued personal stories and advocacy episodes and said the podcast helped them feel less alone. They also highlighted difficulties obtaining information about related medical conditions during short specialist appointments. In response, the company developed a medical series featuring doctors and clinicians discussing narcolepsy and associated conditions. Guests reported difficulties arranging interviews by email. The company introduced an online booking system allowing guests to choose available interview times and provide contact details. This made booking easier and helped the team follow up when guests missed contact, reducing lost interviews. Feedback continued to guide podcast topics and improvements to how the company supported participation.

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received

Transfer of assets

As part of its World Narcolepsy Day awareness activities, the company provided three merchandise items to supporters free of charge, at a total cost of GBP 63.00. These items were supplied to promote awareness of narcolepsy in furtherance of the company's community benefit purposes. No other assets were transferred for less than full consideration during the reporting period.
