for the Year Ended 31st December 2025
| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
R.G.D. King Limited is a private company, limited by shares, registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.
The financial statements are presented in Pound Sterling (£), which is the company's functional and presentation currency.
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty
In the application of the company’s accounting policies, the directors are required to make judgements, estimates and assumptions about the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities. These estimates are based on historical experience and other factors considered to be relevant and reasonable under the circumstances. Actual results may differ from these estimates.
The key areas of judgement and estimation uncertainty are as follows:
Revenue recognition on long-term contracts
Judgement is applied in determining the stage of completion of long-term contracts at the reporting date and the estimation of total contract revenues and costs. This impacts the amount of revenue recognised and the carrying value of amounts recoverable on long-term contracts.
Recoverability of debtors and contract balances
Estimates are made in assessing the recoverability of trade debtors and amounts recoverable on long-term contracts, taking into account customer credit risk, contractual terms and expected contract outcomes.
Useful economic lives of tangible fixed assets
The annual depreciation charge depends on the estimated useful lives of tangible fixed assets. These are based on historical experience and consideration of future expected usage and technological developments. A change in useful lives would affect the depreciation charge and the carrying value of assets.
Turnover
Turnover represents revenue recognised in respect of the provision of data and communications network services to customers during the year. Revenue is recognised when the company satisfies its performance obligations by transferring control of the promised services to the customer. For ongoing service contracts, this is typically over time as the services are provided. Where services are provided under contract over a period of time, revenue is recognised by reference to the stage of completion at the reporting date, reflecting the proportion of services delivered. Where services are provided at a point in time, revenue is recognised when the service has been completed and accepted by the customer. Turnover is measured at the fair value of consideration receivable, net of discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.
All turnover in the current and prior year is derived from customers based in the United Kingdom.
Tangible fixed assets
Freehold property - Straight line over 50 years
Plant & machinery - Straight line over 7 years
Motor vehicles - Cars Straight line over 5 years and Vans Straight line over 7 years

| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost.
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts or finance leases are capitalised in the balance sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful lives. Those held under finance leases are depreciated over their estimated useful lives or the lease term, whichever is the shorter.
The interest element of these obligations is charged to profit or loss over the relevant period. The capital element of the future payments is treated as a liability.
Leases are classified as finance leases where substantially all the risks and rewards of ownership are transferred to the company. All other leases are classified as operating leases.
Assets held under finance leases are recognised in the balance sheet and depreciated over the shorter of the lease term and economic life. The associated obligations are included in creditors.
Rentals payable under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight-line basis over the lease term.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis.
The directors have reviewed the company’s forecasts and cash flow projections for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements.
The company remains profitable and continues to generate positive operating cash flows. The directors have also considered the impact of any economic uncertainties and are satisfied that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
Accordingly, the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
