Colourstrings Scotland CIC provides music education training to musicians who wish to work as music educators with children in the early years (O-5yrs). In the financial year 2025-26, 7 musicians completed their Introductory training with us, and 9 went on to complete their Phase 1 training which leads to qualified Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Teacher status. This has benefitted the community by increasing the number of highly trained early years music educators, working directly with children and their families in the earliest years of life where we know that music and social activities have great impact on the developing child as well as parental mental wellbeing.
The company's stakeholders are the students who participate in our online training courses. Each student is asked to complete a feedback and evaluation form at the end of each course. This, alongside anecdotal feedback, attendance and progress monitoring is used to input into future courses, using an iterative design model to adapt and refine our future training to ensure the best possible approach.
