The CIC was established to continue a free voluntary project promoting sustainability education while the project pursues charitable status. Applications for corporate social responsibility funding and grants have not been successful to date, and the director intends to continue seeking funding to support and extend its community activities. In January 2026, the company received a donated website valued at £2,000. Louise Robertson retains ownership of the project’s characters and permits the CIC to use them at no cost. After the accounting period ended on 28 February 2026, GoFundMe fundraising generated £86, held in the company’s new business bank account. During the financial period from 5 February 2025 to 28 February 2026, The Sustainables Academy CIC provided free sustainability education through its website, monthly newsletter and talks delivered voluntarily to community groups and schools. These activities gave children, families and school audiences access to information about sustainability without a financial barrier. The project’s characters, owned by Louise Robertson and made available to the CIC at no cost, supported its aim of making sustainability engaging and accessible to children. The website was donated to the CIC in January 2026, enabling the voluntary project to continue under the company’s structure. The CIC also sought corporate social responsibility funding and grants to support future community activities, although these applications had not been successful. Work during the period was supported voluntarily, with no remuneration paid to the director.
The company consulted stakeholders at its annual meeting in September 2025 and through email correspondence and telephone conversations about the voluntary project. Stakeholders included community members and school contacts involved in its sustainability education activities. The website and monthly newsletter also provided updates about the project and its activities.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
